Our son was born 16.7.2020, 00:50. So it’s little less than two weeks when our lives changed again. For the better. I’ve just felt this deepened gratefulness ever since. There’s really no stress in the air at all, just peacefulness. And it’s actually quite funny, considering the times we wake during the night, the normal crying in the house, and the increased attention that our daughter now requires. But that being said, I’m grateful for all that.
Perhaps we should wish for a small geomagnetic storm destroying some basic electric infrastructure. This Economist article talks about catastrophes. What typically causes beautiful Northern lights happened in very large scale on 1859. This was observed by many across the world and it came to be known as the Carrington event, a big geomagnetic storm. The folks in Colombia saw the Southern lights - amazing, right?! Not. Just think about it.
